Peyton Art Work Studio

A collection of original art by Mike Peyton

About Me

I've been creating "artistic" snakes for several years. I originally started by using pieces of scrap wood and cutting them into snakes and painting, staining and embellishing them. While on an Ebay shopping spree for supplies (African porcupine quills, badger claws, etc) I stumbled across an auction for snake gourds. I had never seen these before and thought they would make an interesting medium to work on. What you see in the "Snake Gourds" photo gallery are the results. All of the designs are hand drawn and "inked" by me; then embellishments are added and finally a clear coat is applied. I hope you enjoy your visit to my studio; come back from time to time to see my latest pieces.
